Yeah, Sweets - as you said, "Something has to be done bc someone will fall for it!"
"Someone" did - ME! I only wised up AFTER I responded - so of course now I'll probably get all kinds of junk calls. Luckily, since Craigslist uses anonymous e-mail addresses the slimeball shouldn't be able to link the phone & email.
Original message (in response to a furniture ad) is the same as everyone else has reported:
"Can i have your final price for the listed item. Sorry to bother you i can only
receive text (323 -388-5669) Thanks for your co-operation."
And thanks for your suggestion about responding to craigs list with the option at the bottom of the email, Tricia - not sure if it will do any good, but its worth a shot!
Received same message here in Atlanta, GA. I had a feeling and therefore didn't bother to reply. These scammers are probably marketing companies trying to get phone numbers or email addresses.

I also received a Craig's List reply from c7dr "Can i have your final price for the listed item. Sorry to bother you i can only receive text (323 -388-5669) Thanks for your co-operation."
At the end of replies that come through Craig's List there is an option, "Please flag unwanted messages (spam, scam, other)" so I always use that feature for this type of message.

Got the same thing from a CL ad. They can only text. Please give your final price. Don't trust it so I checked here and from the postings believe it is bogus. My 1st clue was the area code is not even in my state.
