Said his name was Sam.
Found out its a CA area code.
I'm in Toronto Canada.

Then he wanted me to ship it to 126 murphy street, Brewton, Alabama 36426 care of Carol Brown
Looked it up on maps streetview and its some backwater street with a bunch of abandoned houses.

same here contacted me from Craigslist wanting to buy an expensive item. I too saw a run down shack on the map in alabama. Gave me this phone number, 323 391-0906. This guy is from south central Los Angeles. Watch Out
I got an email with a general response "I saw your item.." which means a mass mailer to many Craigslist ads. This raised a flag for me since the person did not refer to what I'm selling specifically, The 323 number was also a giveaway since no one in California is going to pay me to have what I'm selling shipped to them. I forwarded their response to the RCMP. SCammers like this always wind up one of two ways. Also, never ever list your phone number in any ads like this. Especially if it's a listed number.
