received this call also and was told they were going to serve me tomorrow unless I call this 877 number they gave me, been at this for a year now and they must think people are stupid, if your going to serve someone you don't tell them and also you don't tell them to call another number to solve it, I dealt with this for along time they are all scammers, unless they send you a legit copy in writing of the debt you owe its fake, by law they have to send you a written copy of the debt document, I have went to lawyers for help but they can't since these people keep changing there name and number once it gets hot for them.
all I can say is don't let them get the upper hand they hate it when you tell them to go ahead or just WHATEVER them to deaf
also if I keep count of how many times I had them saying they were going to serve me I should have been in a Federal Prison by now
I've been getting these calls for about a month now, and I am fed up!!! First they called my home phone two to three times a day and I would let it ring. I don't answer calls that I don't recognize, so no problem. Then it started to get on my last nerves!!! They wouldn't say anything so I would just hang up. Now they have started calling my cell phone as well!!! I don't know how they got my number, I have no payday loans and I don't owe anyone. I guess I'll continue to answer and hang up since they don't say anything when I do answer. For their sake they wouldn't want to answer though, because if they do it won't be pretty!!!! STOP CALLING ME!!!!!!
they call me asking for my husband ...same ole same ole "we are sending out a processor blah blah blah". I tell them they have the wrong number and ask them if they want the correct number. Always catches the off guard and say sure! So...I give them the number to the police station. That's right, tell them that they are going to serve a warrant and so on and so forth.
Same deal. This time looking for Peter Langley (whoever that is). I tell them I'm Peter, that I will be home and then I give, as my address, the address of my local police station.
They are hoping you will pay money to avoid "arrest papers".
