Different company name, Itech, same scam. Sends an invoice to be paid pretending as though it was agreed upon by someone in the company. Alternate phone number: 800-590-7401 Address printed on the invoice: 1425 Marine Drive, Suite 207, West Vancouver, BC, V7T 1B9
323-468-9400. I received a message to call Stacy Clark from the accounts receivable department at Itech regarding an invoice which I have never seen. I called them to tell them it was in error and heard a recording that I had reached the customer service department and to leave a message. However, right at the end a woman answered and told me someone would get back to me tomorrow. She agreed that it must be a mistake. Subsequently I looked online and realized there is no company online, and this is a scamming number. The call tomorrow should be interesting..if it happens.
Ameristar... these people are a scam, they will call to ask you what type copier you have and try and sell you toner. A person will call a few days later to apologize about the shipment being delayed and will say he will include a $50.00-$100.00 gift card. The next few days we received a bill for the toner and a photo copy of a gift card which read...
"AMERISTAR AND AMERICAN EXPRESS-SPECIAL OFFER!! JUST INCLUDE YOUR NAME AND EXT# WITH PAYMENT FOR THE ATTACHED INVOICE TO RECEIVE YOUR FREE AMEX GIFT CARD -OVERNIGHT! CALL OUR CUSTOMER SERVICE DEPT! 323-468-9400"
Watch out for these crooks, they send nothing but a bill, and if you pay the bill nothing will arrive!
You are right about these people. I received the call and they knew somehow that our company had just had a service call from Ikon and wanted to send me the gift card. I received the bill today with the copy of the gift card, just like you said.
