Man with very heavy South Asian accent, introducing himself as "Justin", said he was calling from the ADA (Am Diabetes [***]'n, ostensibly). Connection was very poor--lots of static and noise. I gave my standard "I don't take phone solicitations" line, and he assured me it wasn't a solicitation. He then asked if anyone in my family has diabetes. I answered "no." He then asked if I had any friends with diabetes. I answered "yes," and he asked for their names. I adamantly refused to give out names, very firmly ended the call, and hung up. Now I can't verify what this number is.
Received this call today at 2 pm in Ohio - Caller ID said CALIFORNIA - When I answered and said "hello" no one responded right away. I could hear some sort of static as it was a poor connection. I repeated "hello" and could hear someone's voice, a male, with some sort of accent but couldn't make out what the person was saying so I just hung up.
