got a call to my sister in laws # stating I was about to get arrested in 48 hrs if I didn't call them back. They said I was suppose to be served with papers to go to court on behalf of something that happen 4 yrs ago but also couldn't provide me the address to this company. I actually did provide my credit card number being that I have never been arrested I didn't want this to happen to me now, If someone actually knows or has gotten a call from them like this please let me know. I am completely lost.
Got a call saying a judgment has been reached about a lawsuit against me and to call this number to hear the info of the case. Ive been called for the past week by an unknown number, not willing to give me their business information or an address to send a cease communications letter, I have not been servef any papers, not been informed legally of any actions against me from anyone. I feel this is a scam. Callers had my name, tel number, name of a company I worked for 8 yrs ago, but would not give me any info about them or how they got my info. I informed them that if they are a legitimate business, they need to give me their address as required by the fair debt collections act, and they refuse, also informed them than any legal matters they need to inform me about, they can do it the legal way and serve me papers in person.
