My fiance got a friend request on his Facebook tonight and she sent a private message saying I liked your pics and asked what is the worse thing you've ever done, then said she had to go and left this number and asked him to text her....This sounds the same as some other posts I just read on this site...What's going on with this? How do I find out the name with this phone number? and she said her name was Jessica Hoen on her FB page and just joined Facebook on September 28th.....very strange...

The account that is sending these messages is a fake account set up to send these messages in hopes that you will respond to them via text message. If you do, you will be sent a link that is a front for adult dating sites or a pornographic site, according to other posters here who did text the number. Sending this link is a crime, and it carries an even bigger sentence if sent to a child.
If you get a message with this number:
1) Unfriend the person sending the message.
2) Report the account to Facebook as either fake, spam, or scam.
In order to protect your information, as there is potential for identity theft as well:
1) Go to your privacy settings at the top of the page in the left hand corner.
2) Hide the following:
Your phone number
Your email address
Your date of birth (you can hide only year if you'd prefer)
3) Hide your friend list.
Report it to:
http://www.ic3.gov/default.aspx
Why am I telling you to hide this information? In the case of phone number, email, and DOB, there is no real reason this needs to be on Facebook. Anybody close enough to call or email you probably already has this information stored in their phone or email contact list. They probably know your birthday as well.
As for your friend list, I believe this is how this number is finding new contacts. Hiding your friends list will prevent the people you know from falling victim
Even i too have received a message on facebook by the name of " Breana Eastman"
The message was:
I just added you since I lkied your pic.
If you came across a genie who offered to make three of yur wishes come true what would your wishes bbe?
I got to go right now)-:
have to split right now, txt me k? 323-498-2447
Even i too found it very strange so thought to find the number's location on map.
This number is registered from California, Los Angles.
