Wants to send certified check for $50 more than asking price & have local courier pick it up b 4 his arrival. SCAM

I put up a craigs listing in ft myers florida for a love seat and chair. I received a text that a local courier would pick it them up before his arrival,  and he would be making a payment with a cashier check and adding $50 to the asking price to secure it.  I thought this was strange, and thought i would check out the area code and number... it is a california area code. the number will be blocked from my phone. the number is 323-591-2120........ i think this is a scam for sure!
