THIS IS FOR SURE A SCAM!
I called Apple direct (the REAL Apple customer service). THIS IS A SCAM, THIS IS NOT APPLE CALLING. Apple explained they don't have the capability to know if any Apple devices are having problems, be it software, hacking, etc. He explained further, when someone with an Apple device is having troubles, the owner of said device will contact Apple, not the other way around.
DONT ANSWER THIS CALL, doing so just opens up the door to more calls from these scum people or they sell your number and expect double + scamers to call you.
Received this at 11am EST on 11/11. Voicemail is same as other feedback to not use my apple device and need to talk to their certified Apple technician. Phone number was left behind to call back (800-815-5126)
I got a phone call with recording say don't use apple device. I dont have one. So I callef back to be sure I heard what I heard they played music put on hold asked what state i WAS calling from and hung up. Called back they hung up. What's the purpose for this .
Same Apple Icloud scam as 323-593-7101. 4 calls in 2 days. I managed to get voice contact yesterday, dished out some serious verbal abuse to a phone drone with an Indian accent who insisted I had called him. If you're bored, answer the call and let loose on the loser on the other end...I do and it's great fun, and a wonderful stress reliever!!
I got this phone calls several times and knowing it was a scam called to check the bug story. First person that answered told me to provide my Apple ID. Second person told me to confirm my phone number (I didn't). Third person asked me how old I was and if I was free tonight.
