SCAM ALERT..... Received a call from a guy with a thick Indian accent saying he was from the Internal Revenue Service we weren't home so he left a message that it was important that I called back. So I did. He goes on to explain that there is a warrant out for my arrest blah blah blah because I owe money on delinquent taxes - REALLY?? - no I don't. So he asked me if I wanted to be arrested or if I wanted to cancel my arrest warrant. I said, "I think what I will do is go down and turn myself in to the police department and I will give them this number to call and get information." To which he replies, "No ma'am I wouldn't do that: and he promptly hung up. SCAM!!!! The phone number is 1-323-606-9781. If you get a call don't give any information. Please share this information.

This jerk just called us with the same pathetic story as the caller above. Same indian accent. He also threatened arrest; my husband laughed in his face because he'd heard of this SCAM. We intend to report him to the police. Lying scumbag! DO NOT return calls to this idiot or be intimidated by his B.S. This is not how the IRS operates.
I received a call from an Indian lady claiming it was the United States Treasury saying they I am in a big lawsuit and I needed to call her back asap. My mom hung up on her and the lady called right back and told mom to write down her name and number for me to call her back (funny because I'm not in any lawsuit). Mom played along and then called the police and they said it is a scam because that's not how lawsuits are handled.
Same thing except it was "James White" (the Indian version) from the "department of legal affairs". They left a voice mail and I have no intention of calling back
Phony IRS scam, my phone displayed this number and the message left by the heavily Indian accented called repeated the same number to inquire about more info.
