Perspective from the other side: First and foremost, I hate telemarketers but I also have bills since my normal line of work isn't hiring me, but this is the only company where I got hired and was advised to leave for being "too sincere"... This is a sure sign our world is bound for perdition. My response? I filed complaints with the FCC, FTC and the state that very evening.
Like others said, they'll hide behind fake names and information, use high pressure sales tactics, refuse to honor the do-not-call list and threatened to fire anybody that pressed the "DNC" button, even having the nerves to claim that "the only reason someone will reject your call is if they're having a bad hair day and they'll be the sweetest angels the next morning". Sorry, I don't know who you're calling or what your clientele is, but I am NEVER happy with receiving a call from pushy salespeople twice, and I WILL get mad if it's the same company I requested to not contact me, regardless if I'm having the worst of days or the best day of my life... People that are angry that we're calling "again and again", often reminding us that they are on the national DNC list or requesting that we stop contacting them accounted for 75% of my calls, and the other 20% calling the bluff on their lousy, terribly written script saying "we contacted you before, you nicely told us you weren't looking for anything and told us to try again in the future"!, and only 5% that actually had an interest in remodeling their house, but almost all stop short of the actual order
just do what we do send them on a wild goose chase to an empty lot. When they call back ask them to read back the address and then tell them they transposed the numbers and send them out again and again. On top of that I use my East Indian voice to make them work harder to understand me to get my info.
These scumbags called me again this morning about a home remodeling project. Similar experience to a bunch of other people -- they said we'd talked back in January and I'd asked them to call back (WRONG - NO WAY IN HELL). The CallerID showed the name as LSAN DA 02 CA. The CallerID is spoofed (ILLEGAL) -- if you call back you get a message that the number is not in service.
So I figured, I'm working at home today, let's screw with these jerks and make them spend some money. I set an appointment. They called again with the same CallerID info. Told that idiot I already had an appt scheduled. Then they called back to confirm the appt for 5:00 P.M. Around 5:30, the person who was coming called to say he wouldn't be here until closer to 6:00. He called from 818-749-9839 with the name Liron Ohayon displayed.
When the guy showed up at my door, he said his name was Ron from the construction company. I asked for a card, which he provided, and then said "Thanks, that's what I need to file a complaint against your company for illegal telemarketing activities". Then I shut the door.
The scumbag company is Gold Remodeling at 430 S Western Ave, Los Angeles, CA 90020. Their License is 955584. Their website is www.goldremodelinginc.com.
Now it's complain time. I'll be filling out a DNC complaint, and FCC complaint and file a complaint with the Better Business Bureau.

Recently they call from 223-636-6237 ["Name Unavailable"] calling themselves the "Home Improvement Center." Claim to have called last January 2012 to avoid the TCPA DNC law proscription on calling 2x w/in 12 months. But they LIED, as noted above. Their salesman showed up yesterday in a 280Z convertible, a tad surprised when he was asked for his written DNC policy. He hemmed and hawed when asked why Gold Remodeling calls itself the Home Improvement Center.
They use a fake, spoofed number. The people calling you are listed below.
You can sue them for violating the TCPA for $500 per violation, $1,500 if you can prove they knowingly violated the law.. It is easy and cheap using small claims court.

Other names associated with Gold Remodeling are Elias Amir, Kohen Amir, Blum Yehoshua Yochai, Shitrit Ronen, Mizrahi Shabtai and Turgeman Yoni Zion. According to California State contractor's licensing board, the Responisble managing officer for NR Construction us Nir Liani. According to California State contractor's licensing board, the Sole Owner for Delta Home Remodeling is Hila Vaknine. They pay their telephone solicitors $10 daily for their 4th. lead and $5 extra for any lead out the door before 11:00. Wish some "INVESTIGATIVE REPORTER" IN L.A. CA. WOULD CHECK INTO THIS!!
Instead of criticizing this website and berating its respondents, if your business was legitimate, you'd be going after the spoofers for tarnishing its allegedly good reputation. And if you were based in America, you'd spell better. Finally, promoting yourself as a former "insurance adjuster" only makes your own reputation worse.
