No. Just no. They're not traceable, they're most likely not in the US, and they'll keep scamming as long as people keep answering unknown callers or calling back and talking to them.
Obviously they are not afraid of your threat to file a complaint. Who would you file it with? The Indian equivalent of our FTC or FCC?
Read a few of the posts here; learn what's really going on these days, and protect yourself and everyone you know by educating them about phone scams. For that matter, Google PHONE SCAMS.
this number 323-729-3502 is nothing more than a scam.......these idiots pretend that they work with the government IRS....the IRS will never call you ...they will send mail ....if there is a problem with your taxes and such......no one should fall for these scammers ......the fake IRS number is already on my machine with the words !! scam !! next to it ..so i never answer them and don't bother...they are just wasting their time ...
They are in a foreign country attempting to scare people by posing as the Treasury. They are not the treasury, there is nothing wrong with your taxes. The Treasury or IRS will never contact you by phone in this manner and certainly not with a recording saying you will be reported to a magistrate.
Just got a phone call from 323-729-3502. It appeared as Los Angeles, CA on our caller ID. I didn't answer it because we don't know anyone in LA. They didn't bother to leave a message so I figure it wasn't important :)
