Here it is, late March of 2016, and David Gray is back on the phone again. His recording is getting old and fuzzy, but what a generous guy to want to help me like this ! I suspect because it's getting close to tax time ?
I too have received numerous calls from these obnoxious goat humpers. All they're going to accomplish is forcing me to totally get rid of my in home land line and use my cellular to talk to people I really care about. I don't know why these [***] cannot be caught and prosecuted. Verizon is losing business because this is allowed to continue. You can only block so many unwanted calls.
Caller left two garbled messages on our telephone within five minutes claiming to be from the U.S. Treasury, stating that we had committed serious fraud, and a grand jury investigation would follow. He could help if we called 323-729-3656. We knew the U.S. Treasury NEVER calls people, nor does the IRS and dismissed this as an attempt to gather personal information or extort money. This person/group should be tracked down, caught, and punished.
Report the Calls to the real IRS here:
•report the incident to the Treasury Inspector General for Tax Administration at 800-366-4484.
•You can also file a complaint with the Federal Trade Commission at FTC.gov. Add "IRS Telephone Scam" to the comments in your complaint.

Do consider getting a call blocking device or phone.. You can google them and many are around $40.00 or so.If its a cell phone, some already have call blocking, if not, there are free apps on the web that will work for some. You can google this. If you have a smart phone, there is a free app called call control. Iphones appear to have apps also. Another one is called Mr. Number.
