Recorded message same as others noted received at 6:30 this morning. My . . . doesn't the diligent IRS start early? Lois Lerner trained them all so well. NOT. So obviously a scam. IRS makes contact by mail initially.
Observations:
- The phone number per Caller ID) is 323-744-7802
- The call-back number is the same
- These clowns called at 6:30 am. Government employees don't usually start work until 9am, maybe later.
- If you search the internet for this number, a whole bunch of red flags jump out at you.
- Other Website entries indicate that the "IRS Agent" you speak to may be East Indian, possibly a fired Microsoft tech support agent who has been retreaded to work for the "IRS" now. He may have been unable to get gainful employment at McDonald’s or the 99 Cent Store.
Reccommendations:
Hang up. Do not engage these idiots in any form of conversation. It's a waste of your time, and they're getting paid to do that. You're not.
