I just got he same call and of course they changed their names to Chris Wilcox and the Senior Inspector Chris Harris, M-F-ERS... they could really scam the hell out of people... They said 3 violations were commited by me and they had an arrest warrant out for me.DO NOT GIVE THEM ANY INFORMATION!!!!!!!!!!!!
oye jennifer, PLEASE dont ever feel intimidated into making any payment over the phone to some jerk cold-calling you.
Just leave your credit card in your wallet. 99,999 times out of 100 its a big fat Scam.
next time you get this sort of call (-and you will!) simply demand they send their request in writing.
No, DO NOT "verify" your address, email, or any other bit of information they may request. Simply repeat your request to have it sent in writing and a Good Day, Sirrah.
Then promptly hang up.
better yet, just dont answer the phone if you dont recognize the number.
believe me, if any agency has ANY legitimate business with you, they will not hesitate to contact you formally in writing.
