Can you do without it? If you can, shut it off. Any calls you have questions about, look up. If you can't, consider a call blocker as many have suggested on here. Ignore the phone and be patient to chase them off. It eventually pays off. That same thought was in my mind a few years back, but I turned off the machine and ignored unknown callers entirely. Going a day without one junk call is very common, as are a week.
6/27/16 11:46 PDT Don't understand what is happening. Call incoming showed no number or ID, but when looked a phone a minute later, showed this number, which I show as being blocked on my call blocker. How can this be done? Does anyone here have any hints? Can't drop line I have had for 41 yrs or turn off during day because I have several number that need to get thru. Thought call blocker would be the answer, but it appears someone is able to mask themselves and get past blocker.
Called today at 5:28 PM PDT.(Tuesday) on 28th of June 2016. Caller ID showed "Unknown / 323-800-2476". We Let answering machine pickup & Caller didn't leave any message on our answering
machine.
NOTE: This is the second time they call us.
