I got a call from this number this morning. It's the same auto answering as the other telemarkerters about lowering my interest rate. The best thing to do when you get these robocalls is to ignore them. If you answer, they'll know you are there and they will continue to call. Blocking these annoying numbers will only generate different numbers from the same telemarketers. Obviously, someone is having loads of fun doing this. Don't give them the satisfaction by getting upset. It's not worth it.
You probably found out the hard way that pressing '1' to be removed from further calls only gets you more calls. These losers are like email spammers, in that when you unsubscribe, it tells their mail system your address is active, and they Spam you on other lists or rent/trade your address with other Spammers. I find it best to just block the numbers I don't recognize. Yes, it's still annoying that they keep calling, and it appears they have stepped it up quite a bit lately, but when they're blocked, your phone shouldn't ring. It just shows up on my missed calls list.
Who knows for certain where the calls are actually coming from. They 'spoof' the caller ID so that you can't tell where the calls are really coming from.
so tired of them trying to scam me. Think they would be smart enough to know that I am not going to give them any information after saying no for maybe 7 years now. but no, they are stupid and keep calling. Perhaps they are just trying to make me mad. that could be it. wonder why?
Caller claims they are associated with Major banks. After I told him I had 2 cards with over 19% interest.
He said he needs my card number and transfer my call to his supervisor. I then told him he is running a scam, he tried to threaten me with some legal term. I cursed at him and told him I will file a complaint with my state AG. He called back 2 other times and I just let him stay on the line. I hate these Fu....g people.
