Yes I know this number. I had a Craigslist add for new tires & rims and this guy texts a reply about same as above "Same story, buying rims & tires for his father as a gift, works as an Air Force instructor, private courier pickup, etc." We agreed as I use PayPal, he then texts me constantly today to see if I received the confirmation from PayPal as he "sent me the money". I told him I received 2 phishing emails from PayPal (obvious fakes) saying he overpaid and if I could just MoneyGram the $400 he overpaid my account would be back in good standing. I texted back that I am reporting him to PayPal and the police and I have never heard from him again.
Got a poorly worded text from this number about a Craigslist ad I posted. Called the number from a land line and got a voice recording that the person at extension xxxxx was not available. Texting from a landline in an office? Obvious scam center.
Just like Joe. Got a poorly written text looking to buy his dad some rims for his birthday. he is in the USAF apparently and wants to paypal me the money and his private currier will come get the wheels. He was pleased with my swift response. I texted him back and told him to call me if he is real. Then i checked him out on here and told him i hope his dad dies a horrible death. NO RESPONSE so far.
Answered a ad I posted on craigslist, saying he wanted to purchase this for his dad and he had a secure paypal account,he also said he had a courier to come pick it so no need for shipping.I know from the wording that this person was not real. Thanks for this site.
