My nephew was contacted first nephew was contacted first and he called me giving me the number that I called what's identify themselves as Highland Park financial. They told me that I had sent a letter 45 days ago saying that I had to show up for court and when she gave me the address is that that sent the letter to I informed her that that neither one of those addresses were correct, she then told me that it was updated a week and a half ago into the computer. As the conversation went on I got upset and I will admit I did use the F word and hung up, but before hanging up I asked to be sent the same letter to my current address explaining to me what was going on. She then called me back and tell told me that she was going to explain different options to me but I got upset and hung up on her, I then told her that she told me all the options that she told me that my current life situation didn't make a difference because they could take 25% of any holdings that I have, and then she hung up on me I don't even remember a woman's name because she didn't give me one. I attempted to call back several times and finally I got someone on the line and they forwarded me back to her and she asked me is this Mary Mitchell call and I said yes I said I admit our conversation didn't go well the first time I'm trying to find out what's going on, and a very unprofessional way she stated I told you everything that was going on is no need for you to keep contacting us and hung up on me. Right at this moment I'm very confused because she has all of my information my birth date social security number address everything I need to know if Highland Park Financial is a legitimate company. The name she originally gave my nephew was , accurate location information, Ali, if someone could please help me I greatly appreciate it thank you very much
I have been getting te same call and they said they could take my car, house, etc. They told me my options and I said I needed time to get the money and they called again saying they need a good time to serve me...I am nervous and don't know what to do?

They said they had "legal papers for someone residing at this phone number" that needed to be delivered to my address. I told them the individual didn't reside here and was completely unknown. When I asked emphatically how they got our phone number, they identified themselves as Accurate Location Information (CID showed only NEW YORK, NY 929-268-0327). This probably was a debt collector. The caller said that the individual they were seeking had provided our phone number in court documents. They said she'd be "subjected to additional charges for providing false information." I demanded that this entity, Accurate Location Information, NEVER call our home again under any circumstances whatsoever or we would take legal action against them.
We've been on the National Do Not Call Registry since 2008. It's basically useless against these Telephone Terrorists. After multiple complaints to my phone company, COMCAST, about the escalating volume, variety and frequency of scams/schemes and other annoying calls received recently, they provided this number 1-888-382-1222 to file complaints with the Do Not Call Registry about violators. I don't know if they actively investigate and prosecute offenders, then levy sanctions/fines, but it was worth a try. Complaints may also be filed at: donotcall.gov
Meanwhile I took most effective immediate action available currently and blocked Accurate Location Information.
