"Katie" from "Accurate Location Services" left a message saying that there was a possible lawsuit against me and to call the above number. Checked on other websites this is another scumbag scammer.
I just received the same phone call and started to panicked because of all the bad luck I have been going through!! I am so glad I googled it as I wait for My Lord and Savior to help me with the rest!!
A few days ago I got a message from accurate location information saying there was a pending civil suit against me. Told me to call 8559998042 which I did that said they were HighLand Park Financial. He asked me my name so he could look up my case. I gave him my name and DOB and HE TOLD ME my SS# . since he had that I thought it was legit. He said I had a bill from TMoblie from 2005 at that time I was 20 so I thought maybe I do. I was suckered and actually gave him my CC# . he told me if I didn't pay I would be responsible for much more in legal fees court fees etc. I thought it was better that I handle it now then paying 3X that amount later. After I hung up I told my friend what had happened and she googled the phone numbers and came up with this. I immediately cancelled my card... This is a scam... Don't fall victim like I did!!
Total scam. Stupid too. If there was a civil suit filed against you, you'd know about it from letters from the Attorney for the other side. There'd be a paper trail. You would have been served process by a process served authorized to serve process in your state. You would NOT have heard about the case from some scammery-scummery debt collector. One who calls you and immediately demands payment. You can easily check this by going down to your local court house and asking the clerk if your name appears on the defendants civil list. Of course it won't.
A just received a call from 323-952-8032 on my cell. It was a recorded message saying I was being charged with a civil lawsuit/complaint. I pushed #0 to speak with a operator. Then hung up on without anyone answering the call. I called the # back and said that the person I was trying to reach was not available. Scam, so just incase, i looked up the court system from my county and the only thing showing was my divorce. If someone files a civil complaint, it must be filed with the clerk of the court on your county. Can't wait for them to call me again.....
