This is Ms. Gordon we've been trying to reach you regarding an important matter about the supply charges on your electric account. Excuse me. Give me a call back at 330-756-7541. And have a copy of your electric statement with you to review this matter. Your reference is 80071182.
Yes they'll do anything to slam, cram and scam their way into your electric supply bill. They'll claim to be your utility company and represent both your gas and electric and will try everything to get you to say the word "yes" in any way, shape or form. Anything you say will be used against you. Steer clear of them and the other 30 or so companies that are waiting in the wings. See if you community has an aggregation program set up and join them if you not part of it already. The PUCO has a bunch of good information. http://www.puco.ohio.gov/puco/
You can also contact your utility company and have the restrict your information that they make available to other supply companies.
I also received a voice mail from this "Mrs Gordon" about "supply charges" on my electric bill. It's funny because we did have an issue with our electric bill recently but if it were my actual electric supplier they would have stated their specific name in the voice mail. I also wouldn't need my most recent bill on file because they could look up my info if needed. Sounds like a scam to me trying to get people's social security, bank, or credit card info!
Just got a voice mail from Mrs. Gordon asking me to call her back with my electric bill to go over some charges on my account. I figured it's a scam since she never said what company she's calling from.
