I just received a call from this number. The call was in spanish, to humor him I spoke back to him in spanish. He said he was looking for his uncle, and he said my dads name. My dad has been dead for 15 years, for a second I thought is this for real so I asked him his name twice, and he hung up. This person is a sorry excuse for a human being.
i received a call also from this number saying they were my nephew from Mexico and to guess who he was. I was suspicious from the start and asked repeatedly who was calling and threatened to hang up unless they identified themselves. He hung up quickly after that. Also tried to get me to say where in Mexico I had relatives - scary! Do not give this person any info as they will probably try to get some $$$ out of you somehow. Definitely a scam - beware everyone.
Recently I had a phone call telling my mother that they were my cousins from Mexico. They said that they were on there way from El Paso coming to visit me. On the day of when they were supposed to be here they said that they ran into someone and hurt a little girl. Since they were undocumented they said that they worked up an agreement from the people they hit to pay them $2000 and they wouldnt call the cops. The family just wanted the money to help tend to the little girl that got hurts hospitol bill.
They let me talk to the family and said that they would not call the cops if I just paid them $2000 now. They passed the phone back to my so called cousin and he said he was good for the money and all I had to do was wire money to his cousin in Mexico. After refusing and saying call the cops I never heard from this number again.
