received a call from this number soliciting donations for returning veterans. was cut off before the man completed his sales pitch. checked on the internet and found that, as is usual for these type calls, this organization utilizes approx 70-75% of the money received to pay the salaries of the people doing the calling.
Got this call this afternoon. Let him go on for a few minutes to the point he mentioned asking for a donation to help vets. Told him I was not in a position of having extra money. He said he understood and went to asking for a lower amount. At that point I became rude and just hung up on him.
They don't appear to be very active, do they? Anyhow, the usual: they called, I didn't answer because of the unfamiliar number and 'Veterans Now' in the ID. They left no message. No surprise there.
