Call came through on my cell (apparently an IL number), didn't recognize the number and didn't answer. No message was left. Set number to be ignored now with a list of others.
UPDATE: Blocked caller-ID and called the number, and received a VM message identifying the number as an Elmhurst Hospital foundation number or something like that. Must not have been important if they didn't leave a message for me.
This is the Elmhurst Hospital Foundation calling (annual fundraiser). They (or their many office & affiliates in DuPage County Illinois) likely have your number because someone used your number when getting medical services (even prescriptions from Elmhurst Hospital or affiliated doctors, etc. While this is a legitimate non-profit, I'll not even consider an over-the-phone donation. They have a web site. And, I never "opted in" for calls from the Foundation which seems to have access to hospital/clinic intake records (perhaps it was in the small print). Nonetheless, as a non-profit charity, Congress exempted them from DNC restrictions.
