I do not know the person who called. He will call you pretending to be a relative of yours. He will tell you that he is in a nearby city to where you live, and that he wishes to visit you and your family. About an hour later, he will call you again saying that he was on his way to your house, but he got into a car accident. He will tell you that he hit a vehicle and that the passengers on that car are injured. Also, he will mention that he does not have insurance or that his insurance is expired. Then, he will ask you to speak to the driver of the vehicle he hit(possibly to convince you that he "really did" get in a car crash). In my case, he wanted me to speak to the other driver and tell him that my family and I were waiting for him in my city. After I refused to talk to the other guy, he said he would call me back. Never heard from him again.
Please do not fall for this. It is a total scam. Do not send him money.
This man called my phone today, speaking Spanish and saying that he was my cousin. He asked me to think back and try to remember what relatives I knew that were far away. I told him none. Then I said I have no family anywhere and he hung up.
