have been getting calls and telling them I donate when and where I want, never over the phone. told them to take me off their list - was told "we are a charity, and don't have to". now I don't answer when they call.
saying they are Al. State Troopers one time the next time Al. Sheriffs Dept.

Called me too. I answered and just waited for someone to say something, but it just disconnected. Assuming an automated dialer that waits for a "hello" before connecting a rep.

Caller ID said "Demopolis, Al"
They left no message so I shall banish them to the land of "call forwarding".
Next time they call they will be automatically forwarded to my congressman's office, where the two of them can discuss the joys of all the loopholes they had placed in the "Do Not Call" law.
I got a call from 334-216-7331. The caller ID simply said: "Demopolis"
When I answered the caller identified himself as someone who was calling in behalf of ALABAMA STATE TROOPERS' ASSOCIATION. HE was soliciting donations in exchange for a sticker that you put on your car that says that you gave to the ALABAMA STATE TROOPERS' ASSOCIATION. Shouldn't this sort of thing be illegal?
