They call quite often, I never pick up. They never leave a voice mail either. I believe it is one of those Police/Sheriff charity calls that only speak to women.
OK -- I live in the state of Alabama and have been receiving these phony calls for far too long. Last year I actually donated $15.00 to Woman to Woman and now know that they are a total scam. My plan is to collect all of the information I can get and I'm going to file a claim with the Alabama FBI. I have studied enough law to know that even if they solicit you over the phone, if they actually send you donation requests and accept them that is MAIL FRAUD and is a Federal crime. I've noticed that many of these calls are coming from the Montgomery Alabama, Huntsville, Alabama and Auburn areas. I've had enough.
