After having my vehicle serviced this a.m., I got a call from this number on our landline, with details about the car (year, make, model), telling me that they wanted to follow up on my warranty. The caller had a heavy Hispanic accent. I asked if they were in any way connected with the manufacturer of the vehicle, or the local dealer, which they admitted they weren't. Slam dunk.
The info about the car and our telephone number is not publicly available. I have alerted the servicing dealer; suspect an insider feeding data to a boiler room scam operation for extended service contracts.
missed call but didn't wait for to me to answer. Out of the blue, I get this call..don't recognize #, so I don't call! I only use my phone for medical and family!!
