Similar thing happened at my work. Gentleman had a different name but same company and acted like he had already been talking to the owner and actually asked for his cell. I took his info instead and said I would let the owner know he called. Said he wanted to do a camera demonstration. After we hung up, I tried to find BIT Equipment online with no luck. There is a BIT something company that does surveillance and the area code is the same but the name doesn't quite match.
We received a call from 336-67-5383. The caller said his name is Keith Colton with BIT Equipment. He asked for my boss by name, and said that my boss was expecting his call. He was supposed to call back yesterday. He sounded legitimate. I checked with my boss, and he did not know anything about this guy. I told Keith that my boss does not know him. He hung up!
Receiving calls from these people at 3 or 4 times a day. I do not put any calls through without knowing who's on the phone and what their business is. Thats MY job. They are rude - hang up and still call multiply times a day also from 336-617-5183 (comes up Ward, September) I have asked them not to call but they still call several times a day.
So far they have only called twice, once went to voicemail because i didnt recognize the number but there was some mumbling then hung up. They called right back and when i answered they quickly hung up. Its really strange and ive only had this phone for a few weeks.
He is asking for the owner of my company as well. She does not know him.. but the caller ID says Rhonda Debord. I have not put them through to the owner yet. Calling 5-6x a day for two weeks now. Will not leave a message so if its not important... oh well.
Just rec'd a call from Angel, with BIT equipment company, requesting to speak with my husband. I told her he was not available, could I have him return her call. Angel stated that she was "following-up" and needed his cell number. I replied that I did not forward my husband's cell number unless I knew with whom I was speaking with. I also asked her as to what was she "following up" on? Her answer was "well I really don't know, he contacted me, but I need to follow up." I contacted my husband .... never heard of BIT Equipment Company, does not know Angel, must be a telemarketer! BTW ... CID listed "private number."
