Have received several calls offering lower credit card rates. I usually hang up. Today I dialed the 1 for more info and said what kind of scam are you trying to pull. She said f**k you and hung up.
Received a call from this number on my cell phone. I called them back on my Skype number that said it was an invalid phone number. 337 is a Louisiana area code. Very strange to say the least and I would avoid it.
I first one out of curiosity. I asked the person who answered what credit card account he was calling about, and he said all of them. I asked if he had a no call list, and he shouted profanity at me and hung up.
Yep, special offer to lower my CC interest rate. Strong Indian accented man wanted my CC number (which rep referred to as my "membership" number). Right then and there I knew this was a scam. So I decided to have some fun with this probable Jihadist. Asked what company he worked for? Credit Card Services. Not an answer. Where are you calling from, Schmuck? Georgia. What town? PO Box 227. Really? These scammers can't even make up the name of a town? So tell me, [***], what's you're direct number? Gave me an 800 number which turns out to be the number for Capital One. So Mr. [***], since you claim to have my excellent credit information in front of you, why don't YOU verify who I am? At this point he became irritated and started screaming "DO YOU WANT TO LOWER YOUR INTEREST RATE OR NOT"? He then hung up.
NEVER EVE GIVE OUT YOUR CREDIT CAR INFORMATION WHEN SOLICITED BY PHONE OR EMAIL.
