Just got the weirdest call from a local number to me WITH a name (not just, "__(local town)___, LA" or some such) - actually said, "Peltier, Michael 337-232-9426." When I answered it they asked for, "Mr. (my last name)" but it had that funny lag/quiet when the person wasn't speaking like it was a call center or something. When I said no and asked who it was, she said, "I'm Stephanie from (inaudible)." I asked again and just got silence. Called the number back and it immediately went to an, "I'm sorry but this number isn't in service; if you feel you've reached this recording in error" crap. Called it back twice to verify the number was correct but still nothing. Seriously? Are scammers getting way more talented? Or what?? What the hell???
