Contacted by Phillip R. to collect on a Hamilton Medical Group bill in my husbands name. My husband referred him to me. First issue was that he called me three times, back to back. I was at work & on the phone with a customer. I would have called back as I was told to expect his call by my husband. When he called he said my husband told him I would be scheduling the payment in full(which I know he would not say as we did not have the payment in full). I responded that there was a misunderstanding. I knew he would be calling and explained we would have to make arrangements for the account. He got threatening and said that he was told the bill would be paid in full and it had been in a hold status(for two days because that is when we received a first call) and he would have to now report the debt to the credit agencies. I asked if it was the way they handled the collections, told him to do what he had to do and he ended the call. He never offered a resolution beyond payment in full and he was aggressive. I have dealt with LRS in the past and paid off other hospital bills without incident with a payment plan. I'll continue to send my payments directly to HMG.
Collection Agencies or Prank Calls? 504-837-0116, Receivable Recovery Services, LLC, Metairie, La., and 337-261-5072, Louisiana Recovery Services Deb Collection Group, Lafayette, La. -- Over the last 24 hours I have been deluged with phone calls from these people, whose only Caller ID has been "private name" or 'Unavailable". Worse, a friend of mine has also been pummeled with a slew of similar calls!
What is weird about these calls is that they often occur when my friend and I are talking on our land-line phones. Suddenly, an "incoming call" beep and ID intrudes into our conversation, and scrambles our communications. We are both convinced that these are prank calls being instituted by a particular individual, who thinks it is funny to harass senior citizens.
