got the same scam as all the rest RAH number and blah blah blah yesterday from 339-368-7411 (lady) and today 218-257-4194 (man) both recording and same exact wording. ridiculous. I don't owe any money.
Recording...says they have received a fax order regarding a complaint that has been filed against me. They are going to serve me at work and that I have been officially notified. Same crap that been calling with various number. I have been getting this crap call for years, message usually about the same. Ignore this scam call.
Just got the voicemail for this scam. Must be on the list they have. Same scam as last time. Finally, I reported them to all different agencies/departments for the last one that tried to do this. Unfortunately, there is not much you can do as an everyday citizen. They get away with it. Everyone that I talked to said to just not even acknowledge them or talk to them. They are professional scam artists. Wisconsin they have to send a letter of proof of debt within 5 days of contact. Hmmmmm.... Last one told me I was getting papers sent to me for court and then they called again later that day. Check your laws and don't fall for the scam. I called the Wisconsin Department of Agriculture, Trade and Consumer Protection and the gentlemen on the phone explained my rights about debt collection. I would contact your state department that handles this and get educated on it. But, simply don't answer the phone. Don't waste your time. Don't get stressed. I used to get stressed and upset, but now that I know am more educated on it, I do not get stressed but more laugh. I am far from a expert, but I have learned a lot.
Total SCAM...they keep calling my husband from 2 different numbers...one from Maine and the other Massachusetts saying the same line everyone else on here is saying and they won't stop calling.
Same as others, got a call from an Eric Williams of "GB Financial" about an old debt that had long been taken care of, and Eric provided 216-370-3491 as a number to call them back at. They threatened that I would be served papers at home or my work place for breach of contract, and intent to defraud. Eric refused to provide a validation report, proof of debt, etc. Eric Williams asked me to verify the account number on the debt, and when I refused without a validation report Eric said that it doesn't work that way and we will just let a jury decide; at that point I hung up. He tried to call back about 30 mins later but I did not answer the call. I reported them to the Attorney General's Office and Bureau of Consumer Financial Protection.
