Advised my computer was sending out error reports on the internet when I sent email from it and I needed to go to my computer and login so he could walk me through on how to fix the error reports before my system crashed. Asked him which computer - any one of them. Told him I'd take it in to the shop to have it fixed.

Same thing as Joyce reported above. I asked which computer his response was "the windows one". I told him he was a fraud and to stop calling people before he gets tracked down.
I received a call from 347-098-4243 but allowed it to go to voice mail. No message. It is now blocked. According to my research, Area code 347 is New York City and surrounding area and it is a spoofed number that displays a number other than the one actually being used. There are many numbers associated with the Microsoft repair scam.....usually males, very heavy accents, mostly from India.... who trick you into allowing them access to your computer to fix a non-existent error while all the time they are copying your files to steal your financial data. I have received several such calls wherein they actually claimed to be from Microsoft.
