Has anyone called the phone company about these calls? Can this number be blocked? My son lives in Queens and has a 347 area code. As I don't DIAL his number when I call him (I just use speed dial), it didn't dawn on me at first that it may be him. Then suddenly I remembered last night (in the middle of the night) that his area code is the same. Of course, being a mother, all sorts of things went through my head as to why he would be continually calling us, until I got up and checked his phone number. Thank goodness it wasn't him but it sure gave me quite a scare! I fully intend to call the phone company about these annoyance calls. I'm getting them several times a day for the last few days. I'd love to know why this is happening.
They called today, Oct 2nd at 2:39 PM. When I used caller ID to call them back I too got the recording stating the number is no longer in service. This is the first call I received from them so far but from what I am reading I can expect others.
