I received a text message from this number a couple of hours ago. A wrong number for an SMS was a first for me, so I Googled the 347 area code and learned of this scam. I now have all numbers with this area code blocked but am a little worried that more problems may arise.

I received a text message from (347) 952-6213 stating "call me when you get this message". I didn't call back but I text saying "who is this" (habit) then I googled to find a scam. Not sure of the point but BEWARE!
