I think this is some college thing, or some continuing education thing. I keep getting constant calls. gonna have to call back and get put on do-not-call list
I have received more than one call from (347) 294-3400. They never leave a message. I have a Vonage number and I wonder ... How does anybody, any organization, or telemarketer, etc. manage to get my number ??? Aren't Vonage phone numbers unlisted ??? Would it do me any good to change my number ???
I got a call from this one too – telemarketing for online degrees. Unfortunately, it doesn’t do any good to change your phone number. They use an automated dialer that just keeps calling numbers sequentially until one picks up. That’s why it takes so long before you hear someone on the other end. If they get an answering machine, it automatically disconnects and puts that number back in the mix. Annoying!
Said that he was from the US Education Department. Wanted too much information and when I asked for him to repeat who he was working for, he gave me some unintelligable answer. When I told him that he didn't sound like a legitimate company, he started cursing me. Even spelled out the "F - - K" word. I hung up. He called back twice. I never answered either
I have answered this multiple times and they will not speak. I called the number back and was given the option by the automated system to be added to their internal do not call list. It said it could take up to 7 days.
