Sounds like a brand-new Indian scam. Tell you you've won a law case you never filed or was nevre a part of and then tell you that you have to send someone x amount of money by untraceable means. The Indians scammers just never give up.
I received a phone call from this number. He said his name was SHAWN WILLIAMS. He had a VERY heavy Indian accent. He said he was calling about a settlement that had been denied before because of "problems with my last attorney" and note thanks to the lead attorney ROBERT NICHOLSON my case has been sent to the MEDICAL COMPENSATION DEPARTMENT. This is too weird to be true. Has anyone else experienced this type of call?
I got a call exactly like this today! It just sounded to weird. When I started asking questions about how I could verify he gave me the FDA.GOV website! Same names and everything. I told him that if he couldn't just mail the check then I thought it sounded like a scam. He got upset with me that I thought it was a scam. I've had several calls over the last few years and keep asking to be removed from thier mail list. The calls will stop for a while and then start back up.
They have been very assertive and just rude at times. Any ideas on how to get off their list?
I just received a call saying my needed to register using a Green Dot Money card for $157.39. The guy told me his name was Mike Smith with the FDA and this was for a settlement for my lawsuit for the complications I had with my surgery. He then said my check would be processed and mailed to me by FED EX, once I registered my 14 digit number from the back of my Green Dot Card. The man had a very thick indian accent. I told him that me having to pay money to get a settlement was crazy and he didnt like that response. I said thank you anyway and hung up. The number that he called from was 347-298-7897. Sounds like a scam to me.
