This guy called my work and told them he was a Sargent from NY and i was getting sued by a company I had never heard from. He gave the a different number to call and they were indian or arab also and tried at me for not paying. I ask for their tax ID number and he 1st said they didn't have one then said they didn't give it out. I ask him which was it, they didn't have one or they didn't give it out. He yelled, got confused and said they were coming to KY to sue me. They are a joke and not legit at all. He said his name was Sgt Jack Martin
I got two calls from a Mr. Stanley Marshall one identified himself as being from the Kingston New York Sheriff's Dept. and the other Stanley Marshall was calling from California. The New York number is the one shown above. The New York "Stanley Marshall" also mentioned United Cash Advance.
i received a call as well from this number stating that one of the many companies united cash advance represents, i owe them money, theyve been calling my job, and all which needs to stop , saying his name is stanley marshall and that my documents will be downloaded to court, but i never get calls at home
"documents will be downloaded to court." Makes me laugh - documents are served, not "downloaded"... Tell your HR Dept (or boss, if you don't have an HR Dept) that you are the victim of a scammy caller, so that they know what's going on with the calls at work.
Reporting them to the BBB is useless...You happen to live in a 'One party recording state' meaning you can record your calls without the other party knowing you are doing it...record your calls with this idiot, get him to make the threat of sending cops to your house. This is a violation of federal law...I'm sure there will be other violations on his part, that will also be recorded, as well. If he calls you multiple times each day he is breaking the law...You will have it all recorded. Next, go to www.naca.net and locate an associated attorney in your area. Most have a free consultation. If the attorney thinks you have a case, they can sue the agency on your behalf, in federal court. If your attorney wins the case, you get some $$$ AND this scum collection agency will have to pay all of your legal/court costs to boot!
