They called me twice on 04/24/15.
First call was at 10.18 am; they left me a message saying that they were from the Internal Revenue Service.
The second call was at 3.54 pm. I picked up and a man told me that he was from the Internal Revenue Service. He asked whether I knew a female by the name Orlanda (?). I said I did not know any one. He told me that I should know her as she had committed suicide and left a note where my name and phone number were. I said I had never known her. We were going back and forth with him telling me that I knew her and me responding that I did not. He started threatening me and told me to stay on the phone so the police would come and arrest me. I asked what I would be arrested for. I asked him what number he was calling at. He gave me a number with four last digits different than mine. I told him that he had a wrong number. He asked what my number was. I told him that he should know as he was the one who called me. Then he told me my actual phone number. I said it was an obvious mistake. He laughed and hang up on me.
You are not the only one. It's a scam. I got the missed call today and I thought my mechanic call about my car condition. I called back and the guy with NY accent answered. He identified himself as IRS and ask me my number. He's damn wrong. I don't file my tax with my cell phone and If I really have problem with uncle Sam, he will send me a letter.
In my opinion, uncle Sam should jail these ax...
I had the same automated call. They also used the name officer Nikki Johnson as the person to contact. When I returned the call, a man identifying himself as officer Eric Johnson(fishy) answered. When asking him what the purpose of his call was, he would not give a direct answer. Instead he tried to tell me I was entrapping HIM and that someone would come to my door in 45 minutes. (Idle threats) The recording that was initially left was of a woman with no apparent accent. The man identifying himself as Eric sounded east Indian. Be careful everyone, this scam is running rampant as I know a few people that this scam has already happened to.
Got a call from this number. A Nicky Johnson was on the line who was supposedly with the IRS. Sounded like a recrorded voice. I Hung up and called the number back. A man answered I said I was a attorney returning his call and he immediately hung up. I called back again and asked why he hung up. Is it because you are a dirt bag trying to scam people. He said why are you calling me a scammer? I said because it the truth and to stop calling my number. I called back again and asked him how he liked being harassed. Needless to say the calls finally stopped.
I just got a call from 347 305 4152 and also was an automated message. I googled the phone number and that's how I found this site. The call also said they were from the IRS. Of course I just hung up the phone. I am going to post this information on every social network that I know of. If they call back they are going to get a very nasty and sponsor for me.
