I received the call and called the number back it left.
Said I owed $8k......Really. Goal scam

Automation and could do harm to people that don't know any better!
This site helped to see its not the IRS & said the call was from a payphone on my T.V. screen! Ha!

GOT A CALL FROM THIS NUMBER.  SAID IT WAS THE IRS AND WAS GONNA SEW ME.

Isn't it about time the PHONE COs started policing their customer base!!
Fairly simple to require robo call license and require a legitimate name and address.
And why does IRS not take aggressive action against these folks.
Perhaps the "service" providers like SMS should be required to do likewise
