A REALLY pathetic scam attempt. When I first heard the VM I was surprised but very soon remembered that the IRS NEVER just calls first if there's an issue. There's ALWAYS written notification first.

I did leave a message and hope they call back. I'm bored tonight so I'm going to see if I can have some fun.

Called twice in one day. It was a recording THREATENING me that they had filed a lawsuit against me.

Do consider getting a call blocking device or phone.. You can google them and many are around $40.00 or so.If its a cell phone, some already have call blocking, if not, there are free apps on the web that will work for some. You can google this. If you have a smart phone, there is a free app called call control. Iphones appear to have apps also. Another one is called Mr. Number.
