I did not recognize the number so I did not answer. When I do answer a call from a 'computer service" I assure them that since my son is getting a Master's Degree in Computer Science from Georgia Tech, he knows more about computers than they do.
Called to talk about a VIRUS on the pc in my home. Already have received MANY calls about this from all sorts of phone scam numbers. This time though, I decided to act like I was my Grandmother and kept the IDIOT on the phone for 5 minutes...until I said "I JUST SCAMMED you!" "You will NOT scam someone here at this phone number and address." "I will be calling your phone number back because I believe you are SPOOFING some innocent American's phone number and using it to commit fraud!" Then I called the number back, and instead of getting a busy signal or out of service message..the number went to a voice mail. I left a message letting them know that if this is a spammer DO NOT CALL MY NUMBER AGAIN, but in case this someone who is being scammed and their number is being spoofed by the same that called me and tried to scam ME, that you should be aware that your telephone number is being used for fraud and a scam and informed them to have it checked. I KNOW it was the scammers though. (NOTE. You here on this site need to have a section on your call type for SCAM or FRAUD. Either will do, and I would have labeled this as Fraud for sure instead of Telemarketer.
Just called me. I don't answer calls I do not know and if I get them more than twice, I block them. Hope the government will do what they say this time and let the phone co's. shut these scum bags down.
