Nicki Johnson left a message. Returned a call to an Eric Johnson. Stated he was an IRS officer - Badge #: 412632/ Emploee# IR1102. Stated I stole money from the government back in 2012, 2013 a will going to jail, loosing my license, jail etc. When questioned he became rude and hung up. A real jerk -- beware.
Got a call, said they were IRS she gave her name: Jennifer Williams, badge number 41263, case number AZ5478, she then read me a lengthy "official sounding" statement and told me that there would be warrant for my arrest as soon as she hung up the phone because I owed the IRS $2,861.42. I told her I wanted to go to go to my local IRS and straighten it out. Also, I have not filed a single return in over 20 years but no mention of my husband? (Our taxes are done by a CPA who lives in a different state from us) She never asked me for money . . . or personal info. I asked her how my name was spelled on the tax return and it was incorrect so I'm thinking identity theft. Anyhow, got of the phone (totally shaken, thinking I'm going to jail) called the cops and was told it was a scam. Called the FBI and the US Treasury and filed reports. Sooooo......I'm thinking what the heck, I'll call back and see what happens.....low and behold a man answers I told him I called the FBI and he asks me if I know what FBI stands for I tell him yes, he says no, it means "F*@&'ed By I" and hung up. I called back and got some dirtbag who thinks he's a porn star UGH. I was able to keep him talking smack with me for almost an hour. I figure as long as he's talking to me he's not scamming someone else. BEWARE!!!!
I was getting phone calls from this number a lot during May-June period, never called back, completely ignored. They stopped and they call me again today saying its IRS and I need to call immediately or "other action will be "in place". I never called back because:
- IRS will NOT call you , they will send you a letter, official letter on their letterhead;
- IRS will not frighten you over the phone, it will be explain in the letter they would send what and how you need to act.
call me saying I owe taxes and to call then when I call they curse and hang up I call back they say different things and hang up this is not a good thing.
I called this number and the man that answered started to curse at me when I couldn't recall the last name of the person who left a message for me. When I asked what the call was for he cursed me out said I owe money to the IRS.
