Hispanic male asked for my son by first name only, I said he wasn't in and he hung up. Called again a few hours later and when I answered pretty sure the same male voice but was honestly speaking jibberish and there was a lot of background noise and it seemed another conversation going on on the same line, I said excuse me and he hung up again.
I immediately tried calling the number back and got a recording the number wasn't in service and then when I googled the NWYRCYZN05 NY it leads to a site trying to sell internet phone access
I just received this same call on my home phone...same telephone number and NWYRCYZN05 NY on caller id. They did not immediately speak. I heard talking in the background and was about to hang up, but then a female said my husband's name. I said "He's not here." She spoke quickly that she was someone calling from Auto processing (I'm sure about "auto", not too sure about "processing" because she spoke so quickly) and hung up. We've had a recent breach that prompted me to put fraud alerts on our ssns with the credit bureaus, so I immediately thought someone is trying to get a car in my husband's name. I dialed the number back and got the recording that the number wasn't in service. So then I googled the telephone number and found this sight. All of these calls seem to be very recent. Has anyone found any information as to whether it's some sort of scam?
I got a call from this number yesterday but my Caller ID showed a different name: V912141621000113. I didn't answer and they didn't leave a message. I live in Oregon.
