• The IRS will snailmail you, rather than phone you, if there is a problem.
• Jackalope milk is not an aphrodisiac.
• If you Vanilla Card, GreenDot, MoneyGram, Western Union, iTunes or use ANY gift/money/reload PIN-type card to send money to a scammer, the money is gone. In fact, as of June, 2016, it is ILLEGAL for telemarketers to ask for payment via these methods.
• You should beware of Geeks bearing gifts, specially if the gift is a wooden horse with termites, or a statement that your computer is infected.
• 876 is NOT your lucky number, and it will cost you money to call that area code!
• The number you see on your Caller ID may not be the number of the person who called you!
• The Do Not Call List works as intended. It is NOT a call blocker!

i recieved this call at 115 pm calif time from a number claiming to be the us treasury dept stating the i was 1of 1700 peaple in my area that was choosen by the treasury dept to recieve a 9000.00 loyality check and i could recieve this money in 3 forms of payment they wanted a credit card # or a bank routing #the 3rd was a check mailed to me so i told them that i didnt have any bank accounts or credit cards due to bank ruptcy and they said that was fine as long as the bank ruptcy was not in the last 6 months they new my full name and adress the 1st# that called me was 202-568-9745 then when i told them to just mail me the check they gave a code which im to give to no one except the 2nd # i was told to call which is 347-332-2893 i did not call this 2nd # due to i think this is a fraud or scam im concerned because of all the cyber attacks and so forth who do i call to see if this is true or a false scam and if it is a scam i hope they get caught my # is 916 548-0467 this is my cell please call me on what actions to take paul i give you permission to leave a detailed message if needed thank you
Received a call from this number Feb 13, 2017 at 3:02pm CST. Caller stated I was the beneficiary of a $9000 government grant that I would not need to pay back. The caller gave me a code and this number to call to speak to a rep. who would release the funds to me and I could pick up at the nearest Walmart, CVS, Walgreens or Moneygram location
Received a call from this number Feb 14, 2017 at 9:20am PT. Caller stated I was the beneficiary of a $9000 government grant that I would not need to pay back. The caller gave me a code and this number to call to speak to a rep. who would release the funds to me and I could pick up at the nearest Walmart, CVS, Walgreens or Moneygram location
I received the same call and did call 2nd number and they said same as above and that I would need to pay 200.00 and would recieve 9200. when I paid the 200. I was set to go to Walgreens but I am hesitant on going to do this
