Good luck with that. I put mine on last year and I still get 1 to 2 junk calls a day. Even texts from spoofed numbers. Some of these "sales" calls are not even legit businesses and may never honor the law, let alone the list. Anyway, with luck, you'll at least get much less.
Answered my work cell. Answer the phone, voice on other end "hello?"
I respond with "yes, hello" or something similar
voice: "oh-- pause-- I am SO sorry, there's something wrong with my headset" VERBATIM stuff in a call from about 2 weeks ago.
Hubby came up with a way to see if the caller is, in fact, HUMAN:
He asks: "what's today's date?" there's an immediate pause, then the voice says something like "sorry, I couldn't hear you" or "could you repeat that?" he repeats, and the caller gets confused. They're making recorded conversations now, no humans necessary! Not joking, Not crazy! Next time you get an unwanted call from some unknown caller soliciting something, ask them what the date is today, and see what happens. Today's number was:347-395-0412 - BLOCK IT!
I think the way the Do not call list works- If the number appears it doesn't work (blocking) , need to not answer it and block it from your phone. Once you answer an unrecognized number then you'll be called all the time and the numbers switch immediately. If you don't know it don't answer it, if its legit they'l leave a message very simple
Robo call with a overly happy sounding woman's voice with a twist....she clears her throats and says "Oh I'm sorry I was having trouble with my headset". Allegedly I'm entitled to a free hotel/cruise/car and meals because I "stayed" in one of their unnamed resorts.
