After four days of harrassing phone calls to my dad at work I started looking for the number and found this blog. I decided to call with a fake name to see what they would tell me. Of course I owed them money even though I wasn't real. I started out all freaked out asking a whole bunch of questions and asking them where I was supposed to send them money. Then they asked me where I worked and I said I thought you had that information and they said they had to make sure it was me so I told them I was a secertary at a law firm and they quickly told me that they had the wrong name pulled up on the computer and there was no one by that name in there system and didn't understand why someone would have called me to tell me I was being investgated. He hung up on me.
My mother called pretending to be a lawyer and tried to ask questions they hung up on her four times and started cussing her out. They said they were going to have her arrested and put in prison for harrassing them. They told my dad that they will call his work 100 times a day just to get him fired from his job because he won't pay them. They scare you by saying you are being watched... How the hell can you watch someone from New York or my case, they say they are from California with a New York area code. I filed a complaint with the California Attorney Gerneral so I hope they get these guys who are making $1,000 off of scared people who don't know whats going on and just want them to stop calling them at work or home.
They are the worse kind of people... People who don't speak english and have your SSN. DO NOT PAY THEM ANYTHING. Call them back with a lawyer or pretend to be one. They get scared and start yelling at you and they threaten to hurt you and put you in jail. The names change daily from Tony Williams, Roy Rogers, and Shaun Michaels. They won't have anything to do with you if they think you have connections with the police department or any kind of law firm. The more questions you ask the more threats they try to throw at you and the more money the try to ask for. They tell you if you get legal advice it could take to long and you will be put in jail before your lawyer even gets back to you. File a complaint with your police department to stop the phone calls and file complaints anywhere you can think of to help stop these people from getting any more information or money out of people.
These people have called me from MANY different numbers. They are scammers trying to get money from you. This guy said he was a lawyer with ACS or could be NCS. It's the same guy that always calls from these various numbers - can hardly understand a damned word he says!!! They can't get through on my cell anymore so they continue to call me at my job. I called them back today and they answer their phone with just "hello". Then they ask for your name and number so they can call you back. He got very rude when I told him he has all of that - they just called and left a message for me. He hung up on me.
Don't give them any info - they aren't collectors, they are nothing but a SCAMMING group of idiots trying to get to your money.
I told him that attorneys in OUR country know not to harrass someone at their job and they are professional unlike him - he got angry!!
I've received MANY calls from these people in the past two days, one guy calls himself John Porter, the other calls himself Alex Marlin, and have very thick accents. First they said they were calling from Washington DC, then New York, who knows? When I called him back at the number above and asked them where they were located and why I couldn't speak to an American employee, they asked me to identify myself and I stated, "This is the FBI M-F'er", and the guy called me back and said to me "Why do you lie to me! You are the M- F-er. F you. I'll F your mother, I'll F your sister and you know what FBI stands for? Female Body Inspector".. Yeah, attorneys, bill collectors my [***] ! These guys are professional con-men and will rob you blind. But the REAL FBI is now closing in on them thanks to me!!
These people have called me from different numbers with the same strong accent. They called my job over and over again after being told that I can't have anyone call my job. They are rude and got caught in a lie. Someone need to find these basterds and get rid of them.
This nut by the name of Mark Thomas called my house/job with the same mess talking about I'm under investigation and etc. I told him that I work for Homeland Security and that fool hung up the phone.
I got call from that number and they left a message, voice is of an elderly lady with American accent not thick as mentioned by others and her name is David Johnson from Law and Investigation agency saying there are some serious legal litigations are against my SSN and name. I took loan from online payday agency once in 2009 at that time I gave one of my friends name as reference, now he also got a call from them asking regarding my information. I didn't call them back but I checked online for clarification, thank God I came across this blog. I am not going to take any action and will see. MD
