Scam caller left the "Urgent Legal Matter" message. I called it back from a soft phone and it rings overseas. Was answered by a guy with an Indian and British accent -- sounds a lot like the same guy who called with the IRS scam messages a while back. Told him I didn't care about my pending legal issue with them and they should come get me.
Received a blocked call from an man with an Indian accent who wanted to know my attorney's number for a legal issue concerning the Department of Treasury. He used my married name which I never use so I knew something was wrong. He said I should have received 2-3 notices about it in the mail. He told me to call 347-474-3213 and speak with Brian King. I did not call but looked it up to see if it was a scam and I was right, it was!!!
Received unknown number call from a man with an Indian accent,asking for me but my married name, which I never use. I told him no one was here by that name and he was sure there was. He told me he want my attorney's number for some litigation from the Treasury Dept.. I told him I had no idea what he was talking about and he said I should have received notices in the mail. He told me to call 347-474-3213 and to speak to Brian King immediately. I looked for mail then thought to check on line and found I was not the first person he has called.
These idiots called me on my land line at 6:15am. NO one calls our land line that early, unless it's an emergency, so I picked up and got a "robocall" about legal action against me. They called again at 10:46am and left a message with the same stupid info. Nothing we can do because they constantly change phone numbers and pull the same scams, etc. So frustrating.
Someone who claimed his name was Jack Lewis called our land line phone and asked to speak with our daughter, who hasn't lived in our home for about 7 years. Left the number 347-474-3213 (Bronx, Queens, Brooklyn, and Staten Island, Marble Hill section of Manhattan). I called the number and spoke with his unnamed "colleague." I am sure the phone switched overseas, very dirty line. I would say an early 30's man of Indian extraction, British language training. Says he is with "Department of U.S. Treasury," calling on behalf of the IRS about a criminal investigation. Got him all crossed up with various agencies that would or wouldn't be conducting a criminal investigation, and how they would conduct one. Repeatedly asked me to give him our daughter's name or the number his "colleague" had called so that he could "pull up the file." Don't call these people back on the same number they call, and don't give them ANY information.
