I called a number (1-855-263-2886 ) on a website
( http://www.codautobuyers.com/ca/oakdale.html ) looking to get rid of my junk car.
They took my name/number and car make/model/year, then called me back at 6AM! I didn't pick up. Then "Bernardo" called me around 11am, offered me $200 and said the company was government owned. He said that all they needed were the tires, engine, and transmission. Sounds sketchy. But they would pay me on the spot, and take care of everything...

It's a scam from some dude named Jason to offer you $250 cash for the the car you just listed on ebay. Usually your car is worth at minimum 3 times that. He will try to tell you that it isn't and he has to pay the tow truck driver, and that you can't find that car for sale anymore, funny, I came up with my asking price by finding 7, on the sales lot, within 10 miles of my address. I got $250 more than what I was asking.
He has a robo dialer, it searches ebay for new postings, I get a call within 10 minutes of each new post I make in the car section.
This Guy called me too. He had a weird answering service, so I decided to do some digging. I am glad I found this post before wasting any more of my time, or risking my car in a shady deal.
